Stuart Shaw

Chairman since 2021


Stuart is an Accountant (CPA) and was General Manager of Village Baxter for 34 years. Stuart has extensive industry experience and has served on a number of Aged Care and Retirement Living related Commitees, Boards and groups. Stuart has a long history of providing assistance and support to the industry and other Providers. Stuart is married to Kathy and has 2 children and 2 Grandchildren.

Bryan Quinn

Board member since 2016.


Bryan is an Accountant and Human Resources Specialist and worked at the Village Baxter as our Human Resources and Community Care Manager for over 10 years. Bryan chaired a number of Community Care and Human Resource Industry groups and local Committees assisting many facilities on the Mornington Peninsula in their endeavours.  Bryan has held leadership positions in his local church and is married to Carol and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Barry McWha

Board member since 2009.


Barry trained as a primary school teacher and taught in Victoria and Papua New Guinea before being ordained to ministry with the Baptist Church. He served churches in Victoria, Papua New Guinea and South Australia. From 1997 – 2008 he led the chaplaincy team at the Village Baxter. He has completed post-graduate studies in ageing and pastoral studies. He currently serves part-time as Pastor to Seniors in a local Baptist church.

Ron Crosling

Director since 2009.


Prior to retiring, Ron was a management consultant in a variety of enterprises across all sectors of industry – in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. His focus was organisational improvement through leadership, governance and process management.Ron has also held senior management positions in Australian manufacturing industry.Ron and his wife Gabrielle have lived in the Frankston area for nearly twenty years. They have an extended family that includes eight grandchildren.

Betty Haworth

Director since 2012.


Betty is a Registered Nurse and worked at the Village in a variety of positions over many years. Betty was Director of Nursing/ Care Manager prior to her retirement in 2009. Betty has been involved in a number of private business ventures with her husband and has a varied range of experiences to contribute to the overall governance of the Village through the Board.
