The Friendship Club is located at Village Baxter in Frankston South and operates Monday to Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We provide a regular social opportunity for Village residents and those from the Peninsula Community. We go on outings to places such as George Pentland Gardens where we enjoy a BBQ or picnic and then relax beside the tranquil lake and later take a short walk through the pretty gardens, or Arthurs Seat where we can enjoy the gorgeous views which the Mornington Peninsula has to offer as well as the casual dining facilities. We can visit the Pine Ridge Car and Folk Museum whilst we are there.
And there is plenty of fun to be had at the club. With word games to keep our minds active, craft to keep us creative, ball games to keep our hand and eye coordination in check, gentle gym exercises on a Tuesday, RSL luncheons, entertainment and movies that take you back and even outings every Saturday, there really is something for everyone’s enjoyment. If you or someone you care for has the early stages of Dementia, first language is not English, or you are of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander descent we have the onsite expertise within our friendly and experienced team who also speak a range of second languages. Call our team directly on 5971 6372 to find out further information.
The cost is $18.00 per session Monday to Friday and $20.00 for Saturdays.
This cost includes activities all day, morning tea and a two course meal and tea or coffee.
Our bus can collect you or the person you care for from their home and drop them safely back to their home at the end of the day (so long as it is within our catchment area).
