Human Resources Manager – Frankston South

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee the day to day operations Human Resources/Payroll at the Village.

  • Full Time Position, part-time over 5 days is negotiable
  • Salary Packaging available
  • Salary circa $90k

This is a role that will appeal to those who value diversity in their work, and enjoy building relationships with people from all stakeholder groups, both internally and externally. You will have the ability to influence organisational development and direction, while also dealing directly with staff and clients.

The primary objective of the role is to provide sound advice and support in relation to people management activities specifically in the full HR function of recruitment, pay and allowances, performance management, WHS, IR and associated administrative functions, including policy development. This is very much a hands-on role.

Day to day you will be developing policies and procedures, implementing process improvements, training and development programs are implemented, health and safety and compliance matters and supporting each operational area as required on HR matters.

The position will necessitate a good appreciation of the associated legislative frameworks and you will be required to attend a variety of regular stakeholder meetings (including Government) to support the overall interests of the Village and the region. The right applicant is likely to be well experienced in HR and accounting/payroll

functions in a small to medium size organisation and be familiar with the complexities of the health and ageing sectors. Additionally, you will have a set of personal values that will align with the Village’s philosophy. Also, at the Village Baxter we are paid weekly and offer salary packaging.

Our present Manager is retiring in late-January and our goal will be for the appointee to commence with the Village as soon as possible to enable a smooth transition.

Lifestyle and Leisure Workers (Aged Care) (Casual) – Frankston South

The Village Manor is a 64 bed aging in place facility that currently needs suitably qualified Lifestyle and Leisure workers to join our lifestyle team. You will be facilitating and evaluating activities for residents in the Manor and joining in on the various special events and outings that are on our monthly program. We need people who are dynamic, team oriented, focussed on quality care, have experience in working with people with dementia and have an affinity for the Aged person.

There are various casual shifts available which may lead to permanent part-time.

The successful applicants will also be required for relief holiday coverage. Holders of Certificate III in Lifestyle and Leisure need only apply. Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (Aged Care) – Frankston South

(Permanent Part Time Shifts)

We currently have the following shifts available for qualified hands-on EENs in our 64 bed high care facility:

Week 1 – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 1500 to 2230

Week 2 – Monday, Thursday & Friday 1500 to 2230.

Whilst experience in the aged care sector is preferred, on the job training is available to help you jump-start your career into aged care.

General Maintenance / Handyperson (Full Time) – Frankston South

The Village Baxter Maintenance Department has a vacancy for an experienced General Maintenance/Handyperson.

The role is based within our retirement village and residential aged care facility, and requires the ability to communicate courteously and respectfully with our residents.

The role requires a broad experience in building maintenance and an innovative approach to problem solving. Basic computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheets would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Carrying out a variety of general site maintenance tasks as required

2. Carrying out preventative and essential maintenance checks and following up on repairs and maintenance which includes our nurse call system

3. Work with hand and power tools to carry out day to day maintenance

4. Ensuring essential maintenance records are kept up to date

5. Required to do after hours emergency maintenance on a rostered cycle.

Mower Operator / Lawn Maintenance (Full Time) – Frankston South

The Village Baxter Maintenance Department currently has a vacancy for a full time Mower Operator with experience in lawn mowing and general garden maintenance.

Main responsibilities will be the mowing and maintenance, including the spraying of the Village’s extensive lawns and grassed areas. Must have experience with using both push and ride on mowers, along with experience in minor pruning. Experience in the operation of zero turn mowers is a definite advantage, plus the willingness to support and work with our Maintenance / Gardening team.

The role is based within our 75 acre retirement village and residential aged care facilities, and requires the ability to communicate courteously and respectfully with our residents and staff.

You are expected to work in a flexible manner to support your colleagues and our residents.

The successful applicant will have a commitment to excellence, and an ability to work independently or within a team structure. You must be philosophically aligned with the Village Baxter mission, vision and values, and be able to manage in a constantly changing environment.
