About Village Baxter Community Care
Village Baxter is a Not-For-Profit Organisation that has been providing Home and Community Care Services in the Mornington Peninsula area for over 20 years.
We are proud to be members of Network groups on the Peninsula and support local Villages and Agencies, working together to provide care and wellbeing to our residents and the wider community.
Village Baxter provides services on behalf of Veterans Home Care, Peninsula Health, TAC, Workcover and we support the local network of Aged Care Providers with our brokered services.
We have been an Approved Provider of Homecare Packages for over 10 years. We take the time to understand your requirements and find the right carer for you.
Homecare Packages are a Commonwealth funded Aged Care at home program. You can access this program by contacting My Aged Care and having an Aged Care Assessment.
Homecare Services
DOMESTIC SERVICES :
Support and assistance with house cleaning, laundry tasks, changing bed linen.
Gardening support, window and gutter cleaning.
PERSONAL CARE SERVICES :
Support and assistance with showering, dressing, personal hygiene and grooming.
Assistance with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration
SOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES / RESPITE :
Assistance in maintaining and increasing Social and Community Connections.
Transport to and from appointments, Social Activities and Shopping
On Site Daycentre – Friendship Club. Open Monday – Saturday 9am – 3pm.
Transport Available within local catchment area.
Outings, Activities, Guest Speakers, Home cooked meal including morning tea.
Homecare Packages
Homecare Packages provide assistance for people who need support to remain living independently in their own homes.
There are four levels of packages depending on what level of support you need to live a safe and happy life in your home.
Level 1 – basic care needs
Level 2 – low level care needs
Level 3 – intermediate care needs
Level 4 – high level care needs
You could be eligible for a Government Subsidised Homecare Package, to enable you to remain living independently in your own home
Consumer Directed Care
As part of the Living Longer, Living Better Aged Care Reforms, all Homecare Packages are to be delivered using Consumer Directed Care. This enables you to have greater control and choice over your homecare assistance requirements. You decide in partnership with your provider the types of services and who you want to provide those services. You are entitled to equality, transparency and accountability.
Homecare Package Fees are varied depending on your circumstances.
